‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 4 video: Show boss on key Impala episode

We cannot begin to express how excited we are for Wednesday night’s new episode of “Supernatural.” It’s completely different than anything that we’ve seen the show do before, and it seems like it’s going to be a blast to watch.

Let’s start first and foremost with what the major concept is for “Baby”: It’s a chance to see an entire story from the perspective of the Impala. No, this doesn’t mean that this is a “My Mother, the Car” remake like we first thought it could be; instead, Jeremy Carver explains below that the idea of this hour is to show exactly just what Sam and Dean do when traveling from one town to the next. They spend so much of their lives living out of a car, and this is more of a look into what that is really like.

Will this be the most eventful episode we’ve ever seen of the show? We’re not sure, but this is one of the awesome things about the show being on for so long and having so many episodes. It allows you the chance to try things that other shows wouldn’t dare to attempt. We imagine that there will be a lot of humor in here, but also more evidence into how important the car is to their lives.

We’re sure that “Supernatural” will get back into the main story of the Darkness / Amara in the near future, but this is the sort of metaphorical and literal detour we can get behind for a week.
