‘Supergirl’ episode 2 preview: What lies ahead for Melissa Benoist, cast?

Supergirl -

On CBS Monday night, the network launched their attempt at a big hero story with the premiere of “Supergirl.” It’s a show that is providing action, romance, adventure, and a little bit of humor. It basically fits perfectly with the one-two punch that has already been established with “Arrow” and “The Flash,” two other superhero shows with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg as executive producers.

Below, you can see a rather extended preview of what is coming up, including more of a certain Aunt who could become the Big Bad for at least the first part of the season. Kara’s powers are going to be put to the test, but the same goes for her humanity. Will she be able to take out someone she considers to be family?

The synopsis below is a little more focused. Specifically, it deals entirely with what you are going to see on the next new episode of the CBS series:

“When Kara’s attempts to help National City don’t go according to plan, she must put aside the doubts that she – and the city’s media – has about her abilities in order to capture an escapee from the Kryptonian prison, Fort Rozz. Also, Cat pressures James to use his connection to Superman to get her an interview with Supergirl.”

This show has a primary challenge of convincing viewers to watch week after week, even when the story sometimes sags or it takes a while to get answers. While we have some reservations about the romance so early on, we do have all the faith in the world in the producers and star Melissa Benoist to pull this out.
