‘Talking Dead’: Steven Yeun will return on ‘The Walking Dead’ as Glenn … in some form

talkingFor those of you who were hoping to get something when it comes to proof on “Talking Dead” about the fate of a beloved character, let’s just say that you did not get any answers in one way or another. (Warning: Spoilers ahead.)

In a statement sent over to the Chris Hardwick-hosted aftershow, executive producer Scott M. Gimple made it clear that in one way or another, Steven Yeun is going to return as the character. Of course, there are so many ways he could return that don’t have anything to do with him being alive. He could be in zombies, in flashbacks, or in a variety of other different mediums. Really, Glenn faces somewhat of an open book.

The one way that there is added mystery to the fate of Glenn is that the show did not include him during the In Memoriam package that aired during the show, which tends to be when these sort of characters are remembered. In other words, AMC has no problem whatsoever tormenting you with this for as long as humanly possible, and why would they? This is one of the biggest surprises they’ve delivered in a long time, and this move may have people talking about the show in a way that they haven’t in a while.

The struggle for both the show and the fans is this: Making a move that will push the story forward, even though making said move will be devastating and make the set a little less warm and welcoming. It’s a tough thing to figure out.
