‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 3 preview: Is Andrew Lincoln’s Rick losing more of his humanity?

Rick -Sunday night’s new episode of “The Walking Dead” is certainly going to be eventful, as you are going to get the see the story yet again from the eyes of Rick Grimes. Is he ready to lead Alexandria into the light, or could his actions plunge them more into further darkness? While there is a strong argument to be made that the residents of this city have to prepare themselves better for the horror to come, at the same time is Rick going a step too far?

The new sneak peek below in a vacuum is pretty awesome. After all, you have Andrew Lincoln’s Rick killing a ton of walkers. What’s not to like here? The problem is that Rick is become almost completely brutal and heartless in the way that he does this, completely hardened by the world in which he lives in. Does he have any humanity left, and is he always going to make the right choice when the going gets tough?

We do know that Alexandra is not entirely beholden to Rick, and they have other directions and advice that they could take. Specifically, there’s Morgan out there as a possibility to guide them down a different road. He’s taken the path of a pacifist as of late, or at least one relative to Rick. Can he be a better teacher?

We’ll have a chance to review this episode in full on Sunday, and hopefully we’ll get some answers to a few lingering questions … and also get Rick and company around most of the Alexandria people again.
