Ratings: ‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, ‘Shark Tank’ rise; ‘Reign’ season 3 and ‘Truth Be Told’ sink

Blue Bloods season 6Fridays are hardly the most eventful day of the week when it comes to TV ratings, but we have a feeling that we’ve still got some numbers below that you’re going to want to know about in some way.

Winners – The biggest one of the night is probably “Shark Tank,” which recovered from a surprisingly-low showing last week to finish with a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This series is obviously not in any danger of going anywhere; it’s one of those where everyone has a chance to make a ton of money, and it’s got the inspirational angle to boot. “Blue Bloods” (1.2) is the only other show to have any sort of substantial rise in the demo, and it remains by a wide margin the most-watched show on Friday nights. (Yes, it also probably remains one of the oldest-skewing, as well.)

Losers – The bad week for The CW continues. We’ve seen this week “The Vampire Diaries” hit a new low (0.5), “Supernatural” stumble down to a 0.6, and now “Reign” has sank to a 0.2 despite some of the recent hype about Francis’ death. We were concerned about the show the moment we learned that it would air on Friday. Now, it is possible that it will go the way of Francis by the end of the season.

As for the woe-inducing “Truth Be Told” on NBC, it could arrive at the graveyard even faster. It fell a tenth from its premiere to a 0.7 rating, which is one of the worst outings a new show can have on a big network in its second week.
