TV Quick Hits: ‘House of Lies’ scoop; ‘Mom’ gets Joe Manganiello; ‘Walking Dead’ extended
“House of Lies” scores Glenn Howerton – With “House of Lies” preparing its upcoming fifth season on Showtime, isn’t it nice to see that they are getting a little bit sunnier?
According to TheWrap, the aforementioned Howerton from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” will recur on the comedy as Seth Buckley, a candidate for Mayor who is seeking a little bit of advice … and is unfortunately doing so with the wrong person in Clyde. We’re pretty sure that he is the last guy you want to go to for suggestions on anything.
Want some other TV news? Here are a few other important stories to mention as we get deeper into the weekend…
“Walking Dead” gets longer – In following the new pattern over on FX, AMC seems to have no problem making their episodes of “The Walking Dead” longer and longer. The November 1 episode of the show will run for 90 minutes, and will also contain a trailer for the upcoming “Preacher.”
“Mom” gets Joe Manganiello – The “True Blood” alum has always been brilliant in comedy, and that’s why we are happy to report this following bit of news. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor will appear in at least one episode of the CBS comedy as Julian, a newcomer at Alcoholics Anonymous who Christy tries to help out … at least at first. It’s always possible that the character’s good looks could prove to be a little bit of a distraction.
Now that “Thursday Night Football” is coming to an end pretty soon, we’re going to have some other scoop on “Mom” in the near future. Stay tuned!
