‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 5 video: Can Rumple change Emma’s mind?

Emma Swan continues to push hard on “Once Upon a Time” this season to get what she wants, though other than the unification of Excalibur and the Dagger, we’re not entirely sure just where this is going.

What we do know is that many other characters on the series are still going to be (understandably) doing everything in their power to convince her that this is not the right way to go about doing things at all. In the latest sneak peek below, Rumpelstiltskin does everything in his power to advice her on how to handle the power of the Dark One, and how it is transforming her. If anyone should know a thing or two about this power, isn’t it her?

Unfortunately for Rumple, most of his pleas seem to fall on deaf ears. Emma knows already how she is going to use Robert Carlyle’s character, and it involves putting Merida in charge of him so that he can become brave enough to be the hero that she needs. Given that Merida is not exactly a willing participant in this plan, we imagine that there are still a variety of twists, turns, and wrinkles to this story that could make it interesting still … and we hope to have some more on that in the near future.

The only thing that we will add here is that we’ll be back on Sunday night with more from this episode. Given that this episode is already generating a lot of buzz, it could be one you remember for a long time.
