‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 6 preview: ‘By Fire’ features Firefly, Selina Kyle teaming up

Ready to see a particularly fiery episode of “Gotham”? After Monday night’s new episode provided a worth introduction to the characters of the Pike Brothers and also Bridgit, next week’s “By Fire” is going to really take things up a notch. This character will now be more or less in full Firefly mode, proving to be a very dangerous villain to the city and someone Gordon and Bullock will have to find … and quickly.

The promo below hints at much of the danger, and to go along with that, also a little bit of the partnership between Selina and Bridgit that will define the story in the immediate future. Meanwhile, the synopsis below adds at least a couple of more teases about Edward Nygma, someone we really wish we had more of in Monday’s episode:

“After Bridgit Pike (guest star Michelle Veintimilla) rejoins her brothers, a new spark of courage ignites within her, as she chooses to take control of her future. Meanwhile, Kringle and Nygma’s relationship will take a new step and Penguin and Galavan continue to battle for control of Gotham City’s underworld.”

By the end of this episode, let’s just hope that the story continues to innovate and come up with some ways to surprise us … and that includes finding ways to be rather convincing when it comes to Firefly as a serious threat. The show has not handled Selina all that well over the course of the past several weeks, and therefore they have a little bit of work to do before we get to the end of this story.
