‘Dancing with the Stars’ pros Val, Maksim Chmerkovskiy visiting ‘Fuller House’

Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy are clearly two of the more popular professional dancers these days, and they’ve now found another way to add to their resume: Appearing in a revival of an iconic TV show.

According to a report from Us Weekly, the two brothers with “Dancing with the Stars” ties (Val is pictured above with Tamar Braxton) have signed on to appear in at least one upcoming episode of Netflix’s “Fuller House,” and will fittingly play two dancers who run into DJ and Stephanie Tanner while out at a club. The irony here is that Candace Cameron Bure, who plays DJ on the show, is a former contestant from the ballroom competition, and famously partnered with another pro in Mark Ballas.

This gig for Maks comes one week after he returned to the ballroom competition as a guest judge, and also not long after he made some surprising comments about both the series and also his former partner Hope Solo. Meanwhile, Val is currently on the show still with Tamar, though he changed things up last week and danced with Bindi Irwin.

“Fuller House” will premiere on Netflix early next year, and is set to feature a majority of beloved figures from the original show including John Stamous, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and others. Given that this is a show that so many actors and performers grew up watching, it only makes sense that they would have no problem getting people who want to turn up for an appearance. (Honestly, we’re surprised that “Dancing” has not booked more former “Full House” stars than they have given the synergy to the past.)
