‘Downton Abbey’ season 6, episode 6 preview: Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech, and a big risk

DowntonTo date, there have been few stories on “Downton Abbey” season 6 that have created an impact quite like the one involving the hospital. It has put Cora and Violet at odds, and to go along with that many other members of family have been forced to pick sides.

During next week’s new episode of the ITV series, we’re going to see even more of this courtesy of what happens when Tom and Mary choose to open up Downton for a very specific reason. Those of you who love Michelle Dockery and Allen Leech should see quite a bit of great material coming their way, and the same goes for Laura Carmichael’s Edith as she has a chance to move forward into a new future.

If you are interested in seeing some further TV news in terms of what to expect in this episode, check out the synopsis below:

“Opinions are divided above and below stairs when Tom and Mary open Downton Abbey to the public for a day in aid of the hospital. Headmaster Mr Dawes has a proposition for Mr Molesley and Baxter is thrown into turmoil when she receives an unexpected letter. Plans for the hospital takeover are not fully resolved and battle lines are drawn between Cora and Violet. Carson has an axe to grind with Thomas, but all is not as it appears. Mary surprises Henry with a visit to London, while Bertie comes to Downton to see Edith. Can the sisters overcome the shadows of their pasts and find happiness?”

What’s the most ominous thing we can say going into the next episode? It is as simple as the fact that there are only three episodes plus a Christmas Special from here. Not too many episodes left to tie everything up!
