NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Gwen Stefani not planning to leave show anytime soon

VoiceThese are the sort of rumors that happen almost every season of “The Voice” when a female coach “leaves” for a while: People automatically assume that not seeing someone for a season is a sign that they are not coming back. This has never been the case for original coach Christina Aguilera, and it is also not the case for Gwen Stefani.

Speaking per “Access Hollywood” in a new interview, Stefani makes it very clear that she would love to return to the show again; heck, she even missed her show family at the time the interview was conducted! How is that possible? Well, much of it is due to the fact that the earlier rounds of the show are filmed in the summer, and then the coaches have some time off to go work on some other things before they come back around to do some of the live shows.

Eventually, we would like to see a season of “The Voice” where there were two female coaches, especially since that may help the show get closer to finally having a woman on the panel winning the grand prize. It’s too bad that we don’t get any sense that this is something that the show is really looking to do in the near future.

For now, the best thing to do is just look forward to some more Battles! You’ll get a chance to see that stage of the competition continue again on Monday, as some more artists are going to do what they can to secure a place in the next round.
