‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: Will Casey and Voight work well with each other?

Chicago Fire -While the good news for now is that Matt Casey is alive and okay on “Chicago Fire” season 4, the reality that both he and some of the other characters have to realize right now is rather simple: They are not completely out of the woods just yet. Part of the story moving forward is going to be about whether or not Casey can work together well with Voight, and if these two can turn into some sort of crime-fighting force to be reckoned with in the story that is to come.

The problem here is primarily that these are two guys who, at least stylistically, are not on the same page. This is something that executive producer Matt Olmstead commented on recently to Entertainment Weekly, while saying that he hoped that the two would figure it out at some point before the end of this story arrives:

“There’s a certain understanding they come to at the culmination of this two-parter … They’re never going to shake hands and have a beer together, but at a certain point, Casey can appreciate Voight’s style of policing and how effective it can be.”

Voight is a frequent presence over on the world of “Chicago Fire,” and at the moment we have a hard time necessarily thinking that this is going to be changing anytime soon. After all, the police and fire departments do work together often in tandem, and at the same exact time there are plans at the moment for an epic three-part crossover event between all of the shows, which will take place in the new year.
