‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 5 video: Another tease with Maisie Williams, Jenna Coleman

What do you get when you combine Maisie Williams from “Game of Thrones” and “Doctor Who” star Jenna Coleman? Well, the answer is rather simple: You get the new sneak peek below from Saturday’s episode!

This video is not exactly heavy when it comes to story details, and instead more or less places the focus on something very simple: An escape plan! Williams’ character joins Clara in attempting to get her way out of what seems to be an enclosure marked with iron gates. On the other side of it is none other than a Viking army. Only this show can effortlessly combine Vikings and futuristic stuff in a way that does not make us bat an eye. The same goes for this past week, when we had everything from underwater exploration to ghosts mixed into the same story.

We know that Williams is actually playing a young Viking girl herself, but there will be something about her that intrigues the Doctor and will make him invested in looking after her. This is the first of a two-part episode, so in keeping with the tradition of much of this season, our suggestion would be to not expect everything to be answered here. Uncovering what is really going on here could take some time.

For now, let’s just enjoy that “Doctor Who” continues to do weird and interesting things, and hope that this is a trend that continues the rest of the season. Also, more action sequences involving Vikings are always fun.
