ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 5 preview: Nathan Fillion’s Rick gets ‘decontaminated’
Sometimes, the best scenes on “Castle” are the ones that involve us having a little bit of fun at the expense of one of the main characters, and in the case of the latest sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode entitled “The Nose,” that is certainly the truth. Rick (Nathan Fillion) is desperate for some information, but in order to get what he wants out of a woman known for her truth-sniffing abilities (seriously), he has to enter her “decontamination chamber” first. What happens as a result of this is pure hilarity.
This entire episode for the most part should be a nice throwback to one during the earlier seasons, where you had a case that was just on the fringe of reality. There are probably not too many truth-sniffers out there, and yet, Castle has come into contact with one of them.
While there is no Beckett in this particular episode, rest assured that you will be seeing more of her in this installment at some point. Her promotion to Captain has changed things up a little bit, but in coming out of the last two episodes we have seen her and Castle share at least a few more scenes together. The love between them is there, and that’s why it is somewhat frustrating that we’re still going in this direction where they are not together.
Anyhow, hopefully this sneak peek is, if nothing else, a way to help forget about it for a little while.

The writers have really done a poor job on the writing of this show. I am so sorry because this was a great story but not now.

Will be interesting to see the ratings for this episode after the initial sneak peek and the firestorm that it caused. Regardless of some funny lines the separation casts a pall over the shenanigans .

Matt,
I just saw a sneak peek from TVLine and it was Beckett asking to stop by the loft and get the rest of her stuff and the frustration continues by the writers that we’re still going in this direction where they are not together.
