‘Saturday Night Live’ video: Tracy Morgan, Demi Lovato, Kenan Thompson prepare

In less than two days from the time we’re writing this, the big moment will be here for “Saturday Night Live“: Tracy Morgan coming back to host. So much has been said about his recovery that it is hard to know how to add to it, other than saying of course that we’re thrilled to see him back in the physical and mental shape to make us laugh again.

We’ve been concerned about whether or not all of his hardship would have caused him to lose a step, but the latest promo below courtesy of NBC has us very much of the belief of one simple thing: The guy’s still got it. He’s extremely quick with his jokes, and the little bit in the video below (featuring host Demi Lovato and cast member Kenan Thompson) about him thinking that the show is actually going on right now is pretty priceless. Sure, it feels a little like a Tracy Jordan line from “30 Rock,” but Tracy never felt like he was that far away from being Tracy Morgan, either.

Demi shows that she has a pretty good sense of humor in here, as well, even if she gets about the same amount of speaking time as The Weeknd did on this past show. We wonder if she will make a cameo in a sketch, given that she does have at least some history performing on the Disney Channel in front of a studio audience.
