‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Details on Dr. Light’s arrival, Barry Allen’s new date

Usually when we hear the name “Dr. Light,” the video gamer in us makes us think more than anything about the popular character from the “Mega Man” series of video games. However, at the same time, this is also a prominent character from the DC Universe, and someone who is going to be a key cog in the story for “The Flash” season 2.

You are specifically going to get a chance see this character in action on the upcoming November 3 episode entitled “The Darkness and the Light,” which certainly is a fitting name. The synopsis below makes it clear just what you can expect, including more of Jay Garrick and also a date between Barry Allen and Patty Spivot, who he showed a certain fondness for on this past episode:

“Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her.  Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her.  However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom.  Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date.”

Here is what we are slightly unsure about going into the this installment of the show: How will Barry really be able to focus on having Patty be a major part of his life? You have to remember here that part of the problem here is that he knows about the destiny with Iris, and thanks to that, is it going to be possible for him to enter another relationship distraction-free?
