‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 4 preview: The James Spader – Megan Boone story of ‘The Djinn’

The Blacklist logo any season“The Blacklist” is a show that likes to find a method to introduce some of its trademark guest stars in a weird, surprising way. The majority of the time, these are people at odds with Elizabeth Keen, especially in the early seasons when she and the FBI task force joined forces in order to ensure that the bad guys were taken out.

However, season 3 has provided a bit of a sea change. Now, some of these people are the only option for Megan Boone’s character as she continues to look for ways to clear her name. “The Djinn” is the name for the next new episode airing in one week’s time, and per the official ABC synopsis below, uncovering the mystery woman at the center of this story is going to prove to be a challenge:

“Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) continue their mission to clear Liz’s name. Red enlists the help of the task force to help them find a woman called the Djinn, a mysterious woman who fulfills revenge fantasies. They believe the Djinn can lead them to the Cabal, the next step in exonerating Liz.”

We’re starting to get the sense that this exoneration story may not be over until at least the first half of this season, and provided that we continue to meet interesting characters (and also get some good scenes between Liz and Red), we’re fine with that.

What do you want to see on “The Blacklist” moving into next week’s new episode, and do you think we could actually take a big step forward in freeing Liz from this manhunt? Share with a comment.
