‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 3 preview: Jensen Ackles directs ‘The Bad Seed’
“Supernatural” is lucky to have someone in Jensen Ackles who not only is interested in telling more of Dean’s story, but also does love directing an episode every season or so. That is what happening on next week’s installment! The production cycle on these are rather interesting. In order to make sure that Jensen has proper time to go through pre-production, these are actually filmed before the first two episodes of the season. That has to be strange in some ways for the actors to go out of order, but hey, they’re professionals!
“The Bad Seed” is going to be an episode next week that looks to be all sorts of fun and then some, even if we’re not sure just how large of a story Sam and Dean are going to have in it. We’re going to have a variety of subplots that include Rowena sporting a new look, Crowley trying to take advantage of the Darkness, and a few more surprises along the way. In addition to the promo below, the synopsis gives you a good sense of what to expect:
“While Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) tries to consolidate her power to protect herself from the Winchesters, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) search for a missing baby connected to the Darkness. Meanwhile, Castiel (Misha Collins) struggles to heal and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tries to find a way to use the Darkness for his own personal gain.”
By the time we get to the end of this episode, who knows what we’re going to see? All we know is that it sounds exciting, and we’re always down for some changes to the mold.

This episode tanked in the ratings. Series low in terms of ratings. They need to end this show. I loved it seasons 1-5. Don’t care much for the two actors much anymore either. Jared is constantly using social media to call out some company for failing to bow down to his “celebrity,” and Jensen’s conservative politics are always being talked about. I especially didn’t like what Jared said about Phillip Seymour Hoffman, a MUCH more talented actor than he will EVER be.
