‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 spoilers: Lucy Hale on Aria’s return to Rosewood
At the end of “Pretty Little Liars” season 6A, the main characters finally had a chance to finish high school and start a new life somewhere else. If we were them, we feel like we’d never even think about looking back for a second. Why would we? This town has killed off a good percentage of its population for one, and to go along with that, people tend to get trapped into basements and other terrible places for a long time. (Yep, we still don’t understand why the thread with the parents was never resolved.)
So when you think about everything that these women have went through, it makes sense that at least one of them would not be that interested in coming back. Apparently, that woman in this case in Aria Montgomery, who has a good thing going working in the publishing world at the start of 6B. As Lucy Hale explains to TVLine, there is only one reason she considers stopping by the town again:
“Out of all the girls, Aria is the most hesitant to return … The only reason she’s going back is because she loves Alison, and she’ll do anything for her, but she’s definitely being pulled by her hair. A lot of things happen that keep the girls in Rosewood, but for Aria, she has this whole life in Boston that she absolutely loves, which is hard.”
Hale also confirmed that things are going to continue to remain complicated for Aria and Ezra for at least a little while longer. While she may have seemed happy to be helping with his book in a teaser that aired at New York Comic-Con, don’t mistake that for wedding bells or even the two being together.
