‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 3 preview: See Morgan, Garcia in new sneak peek!

The new episode of “Criminal Minds” airing on Wednesday night will be a complicated one, given that you’ve got a series of women who are being killed off at a time when they should be celebrating: Right before their wedding days. Clearly, an UnSub out there is not exactly thrilled with the idea of other people having happy endings.

The sneak peek below does not give you much of anything when it comes to the story of the hour, but it is a nice gift for all Morgan / Garcia fans out there. These two have some of the best back-and-forth in the business, and that is why this particular scene is compelling even when it is effectively nothing more than her telling him to get back for a briefing from Hotch.

If you missed the news, this episode is being directed by cast member Joe Mantegna, which makes us believe that while Rossi will probably have a presence in the hour, he may not receive the bulk of the air time. It’s hard for TV actors to do their job and that of director in a tiny period of time.

One other teaser we can offer you is that you’re going to get a cameo appearance in here somewhere from none other than Michael Irvin, as CBS is continuing its extensive cross-promotion between some of their shows and the NFL for Thursday Night Football. Given that we grew up watching Irvin play, we’re happy to see what he brings to the table even for just a brief scene.
