‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Paul Reubens to play Oswald’s father; new episode 4 preview!
There are a pair of separate highlights to share today when it comes to “Gotham” holding a brand-new panel at New York Comic-Con, and we start with the realm of the Penguin. For those who feel as though Robin Lord Taylor has not had enough time in the spotlight over the course of the past few episodes. Rest assured that this is going to change in the near future.
Taylor himself announced to the eager crowd at the convention that none other than the legendary Paul Reubens is going to play his father in an upcoming episode (at least) of the Fox series. While there are few details known about this character within the context of the show, it feels fairly easy to assume that he is someone up to no good, given that he is the parent of one of the most notorious crime lords of the city. (Eh, it’s that whole nature vs. nurture debate.)
Secondly, Fox and the studio Warner Bros. also unveiled a new trailer for the show at the convention. Granted, there’s not a lot of it that is new footage, but the second half does contain the first extended scene of Michael Chiklis as Captain Nathaniel Barnes, the new boss at the GCPD and someone who could be clashing with Jim Gordon at some point over the course of the series.
New episodes are going to continue to air Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time; hopefully, this news will help you in part to compensate for (spoiler alert!) not getting any more Jerome after the character was killed off.
