‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: New York Comic-Con trailer teases Zoom, Hawkgirl, and more

FlashNew York Comic-Con on Sunday night proved to be quite a crazy occasion for many of your favorite shows, and when it comes to “The Flash,” this provided an opportunity to see a new extended trailer for everything that is going to be coming in the early part of season 2.

The biggest reveal of this trailer is, at least for the most part, the presence of Zoom. He is the Big Bad for the season, someone obsessed with being faster than anyone in any world. Maybe he does have a slightly more advanced motivation than we see for the time being, but it’s hard to really speculate on that too much before getting a chance to learn about who this man fundamentally is.

Also, this preview gives us a chance to see a variety of other important characters, including some new meta-humans with special powers, Kendra Saunders a.k.a. Hawkgirl, and significant changes when it comes to the story of Firestorm. Jax Jackson is coming in as a replacement for Ronnie Raymond, and it will be interesting to see just what sort of energy he ends up bringing to this character.

For those of you who think that this trailer is over when you see the show card, the one bit of advice we’d offer you is to keep watching. There’s a great little clip at the end with Barry and Oliver, where the two learn a thing or two about a special coffee that is being made in honor of The Flash. Clearly, Star City is not giving him anything of equal persuasion.
