‘The X Factor’ UK review: 4th Power / 4th Impact, The First Kings, Alien perform for Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini

X Factor -After we got a taste of what the Boys are bringing to the table on “The X Factor” UK Sunday night, this episode also brought us at least a small slice of magic courtesy of Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini and the Groups. We feel pretty solid about the lineup in this category, given that you’ve got everything from great girl groups to interesting duos and trios that bring a whole lot to the table.

This category is not exactly over, so we’re going to have to come back next weekend to wrap up our take on this group. With that said, here are the people who have been pushed through to chairs so far.

Menn on Point – They’re not great vocally, but they have a unique style and performance style that is distinctly modern.

Rumour Has It – Returning girl group who showed up with solid vocals, albeit with a somewhat ho-hum song choice. Not excited.

Alien – These girls seem perfect for the live shows. We’re not sure they will win this show, but they could transition over to a record deal really well.

Mon Amie – They’re probably not going to stay in the chair, but they were confident … perhaps overly confident even.

4th Power / 4th Impact – We don’t even know what name they are going by anymore. The one thing that we do know with confidence is that they are very good, and a contender to make it deep into the competition.

The First Kings – Simon is right that they are a little bit of a typical boy band when it comes to choreography, but we love the effort! They’re exciting, and we appreciate just how badly they want to make this work. It’s a pretty solid start.
