‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Another young Sam enters the fray

For all of those out there who love to get occasional blasts from the past on “Supernatural,” trust us when we say that there are going to be plenty more of those coming during season 11! Specifically, we are looking towards the upcoming eighth episode, where you are going yet again get a chance to see more of Sam Winchester’s past.

This time, the young actor playing the part will be none other than Dylan Kingwell. Dylan himself (thanks to SpoilerTV for bringing this to light) confirmed the news in a series of replies on Twitter, and he is also credited for the part on IMDb. This is not the first time that we have seen a young Sam on the show, as Colin Ford and Alex Ferris have played the part in past seasons. Given the age of Sam in the flashbacks and also young actors growing up, you are inevitably going to have to bring in some new people for the part over time.

Kingwell has also appeared in multiple episodes of “The Returned,” and in a bit of irony, is also credited for playing a young version of Stephen (Robbie Amell) on a different CW series in “The Tomorrow People.”

Before we get to this episode, it feels pretty clear that Sam has plenty of other problems to deal with, including an infection and also the Darkness, which is poised to stick around the show for at least a solid percentage of the season (if not all of it).
