‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Why you should be excited for Curtis Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific

Arrow -One of the last things that you want to do with a show like “Arrow” is allow it to get stale at all over time, and that’s why we are very pleased that the show is introducing someone like Curtis Holt … especially with Echo Kellum playing the part. He was one of the unsung heroes on “Ben & Kate,” a short-lived Fox comedy that also featured another up-and-coming star in Dakota Johnson, and it’s great that more people are going to get to know him here.

As for why this is the time to bring Curtis aboard the show, much of the reasoning seems to be as a way to add some more dynamics to the show, especially when it comes to the world of Palmer Technologies. While Brandon Routh will eventually return as Ray, he’s going to be relegated more over to “Legends of Tomorrow.” As executive producer Wendy Mericle tells Entertainment Weekly, this is mostly a way to ensure that Felicity has a great foil as she continues her CEO duties:

“He really is a way for us to eventually bring on a new member of the team, and somebody who has a strong tech background, but he’s also somebody for Felicity to talk to and have scenes with.”

Also, we think that it is important for there to be someone around from time to time who still approaches the world of Team Arrow with some sort of surprise and wide-eyed enthusiasm. We don’t really get that so much with some of the other characters at this point, given that they are used to the routine and may be in some ways a little more jaded with it.
