TV Quick Hits: ‘Limitless’ brings back Bradley Cooper; ‘Agent Carter’ season 2 news; ‘American Gothic’ coming
Bradley’s back – Before “Limitless” first premiered on CBS, one of the things that was teased was that presumably, there would be a chance to see more than one appearance from the star of the movie (and show executive producer) Bradley Cooper. He appeared in the pilot, and after that, we did not really have a great sense as to when he was going to be turning up again.
As it turns out now, we have some of the answers! It was announced at New York Comic-Con this weekend that Cooper will be appearing in the show’s upcoming October 27 episode. This is a smart move for the actor to continue promoting something that he has a stake in, and it is certainly possible that he is going to be able to get some higher ratings to the show as a result of all this.
As for some other news…
“Agent Carter” updates – First, we should make it clear that Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan are both returning as Howard Stark and Dottie Underwood. Next, we should tell you that Wynn Everett is going to be coming aboard as Whitney Frost, who is otherwise known in the comic-book world as the character Madame Masque. Currie Graham is set to play her husband Calvin Chadwick, a high-powered businessman. These bits of news where also announced at New York Comic-Con, with the second season of “Agent Carter” expected to come on the air early next year.
“American Gothic” ordered by CBS – The network is getting in business with Steven Spielberg and Amblin Television on a thirteen-episode murder mystery series set in Boston, which is expected to air in the summer. A family is going to be trying to figure out where they stand in the world after they learn that a prestigious family patriarch is linked to a variety of gruesome crimes spanning history.
