TV quick hits: ‘Silicon Valley’ season 3, ‘The Librarians’ season 2 news; ‘American Crime Story’ promo
“Silicon Valley” gets former Twitter exec – We feel like first and foremost, the goal of HBO’s “Silicon Valley” is to convince you to laugh your face off. So what’s the second goal? Making sure that the setting and the lifestyle is at least reasonably authentic.
With that in mind, the following news could not be any more perfect for this show. According to a report from Bloomberg, former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo (who also has a history interestingly enough in standup comedy) is spending a good chunk of time advising the writers for the show on the upcoming third season. This seems like it would be perfect synergy, if there is anyone who would know a thing or two about what the world of a major tech company is really like, it’s him.
As for some other updates…
“The Librarians” season 2 synopsis – TNT is premiering the latest batch of episodes on Sunday, November 1, and for those of you who are interested in getting some early details, how about the title and synopsis for the premiere? It’s called “…And the Drowned Book,” and the synopsis is below courtesy of SpoilerTV:
“While Jenkins discovers there’s something wrong with the Library since it returned from the Void, the Librarians all find themselves drawn back together after having been off on their own for months, to solve the mystery of a massive storm that has parked itself over Manhattan. They soon discover the culprit in both cases is none other than Shakespeare’s Prospero.”
“American Crime Story” season 2 promo – While “American Horror Story” is insanely violent, gory, and twisted, this Ryan Murphy production couldn’t be more different. It’s all about the OJ Simpson trial, and it will premiere in February. The short teaser is at the bottom of this article.
