‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 14 preview: Is Carter going to flunk out of school?

As much as we find “Finding Carter” compelling television, someone in the relatively near future has to commence a good finger-wagging session at MTV over the way that they have handled the promotion for the second half of season 2. It’s really not the best. Thanks to some of the footage that is already out there, we knew about Carter’s job at the bar, and also where the story is going when it comes to her struggles in school.

In a way, it makes sense that she would be disinterested there. You need to be de-stressed in order to focus, and all her life is constructed of is stress. This is what happens when you have a history with someone like Lori, a possible secret sibling entering the fray, and a personal life that is constantly in a state of chaos. Nothing looks as though it will be getting easier anytime soon, and she could spiral so hard that she loses everyone in the process.

We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves here, mostly because there are still so many different stories to tell before we end up getting to that point. What we can say for now is that the next episode is entitled “Anywhere but Here,” which could be a reference to her hopes of escaping. “Carter enjoys her secret job at the bar, but struggles to keep up with school; Taylor and Max attempt to celebrate a big anniversary, and Crash receives a new assignment.”
