‘The Bastard Executioner’ episode 6 preview: What lies ahead for Lee Jones, cast?

Wilkin -We will be back later tonight at the conclusion of “The Bastard Executioner’s” latest episode with some further details about the series present and future, but we thought that with this particular article and demand for immediacy, we’d give you some preliminary details beforehand on what lies ahead.

“Thorns / Drain” is the title for the installment, and it was written John Barcheski & Kurt Sutter. This is the first one since episode 3 with Kurt’s name on a script; with some other shows we’d say that it makes the particular episode more important than others, but he has his hand so heavily into everything that we cannot really say that here.

FX is notorious for not releasing much as a synopsis, but we can at least provide you the following before getting into further detail later:

“Wilkin and Toran get a new timeline for their revenge; a surprising ally visits Lady Love.”

One thing we will add here for now is this: We do hope that FX gives this show an official renewal before the finale. We know that this series has not seen “Sons of Anarchy” ratings, but it is perfectly solid for a first-year show and has shown a consistent pattern of time-shifted viewing. Making fans suffer during a season finale without knowing the future is, from our standpoint, not a tremendous move.

Update – Now that we have finished tonight’s episode, we feel like one supplemental question is this: How long can Lady Love keep herself safe, given that she needed Annora to swoop in to save her this time? Things in Ventrishire are not about to become any easier…
