‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 19 preview: First video for ‘Girl Meets Rah Rah’

The first thing that we should tell you about Friday night’s “Girl Meets World” is a scheduling note: It’s airing almost an hour later than usual. “Girl Meets Rah Rah” is coming on after the presentation of “Invisible Sister” on the Disney Channel, so be sure you set your calendars / recording devices according for 9:28 p.m. Eastern time. Yes, that is an absolutely terrible start time to the episode, but the obvious hope here for the network is that people who watch the movie will stick around for the show.

If some out there miss it, it seems like the network has even prepared for that. While this story of Riley’s cheerleading exploits could be fun, we don’t get a sense that it is particularly poignant or important to the overall importance of the show. Why? It has been almost supplanted in terms of promotional material by “Girl Meets Texas,” the upcoming three-part event that is going to take the story of Maya, Riley, and Lucas to another level.

At this particular point in time, the photo above is still the thing that we enjoy the most about this episode. It is so random, but at the same time so remarkably delightful and fitting for what would actually happen at a cheerleading trout.

Also, this just in: Apparently Riley is not very good at it. Don’t worry: We’ve already seen that she has a wide array of other skills, and we’re not sure we really see this much as her “scene.”
