NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Blake Shelton, Adam Levine battle as Blind Auditions end

VoiceWhile “The Voice” may seem like it goes on for a long time every season, the reality here is that it has an expiration date most seasons of just over three months. With that in mind, they have to get things moving quickly despite the Blind Auditions being the best part of the season.

Therefore, within the end of the next two episodes on Monday and Tuesday, the Blinds are going to be over! That means more bickering, more complimenting, and more strategizing for all of the coaches to get the people that they want. At the moment, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton seem to be the most aggressive, and we’ve also got in the promo the first reference to Blake being single that we’ve had since the beginning of the season. (Granted, it doesn’t come in the way that you’d think.)

Are there any artists in here who we think could be the winner? It’s probably a little early to say that. We do find it interesting right now that there are people out there who care claiming that this is the “worst season ever” already without even seeing the Battle Rounds. At this point last season, we’re pretty sure that the only person that we felt that confident about was Sawyer Fredericks a.k.a. the most-obvious winner of all time. This time, there’s a little bit of ambiguity and we’re fine with that … but we do need some sort of favorite to stand out before we get to the live shows. Otherwise, why would we care?

We’ll come back tomorrow night with another review … and we’ll be doing it once again live! Sound fun to anyone else?
