‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Girl Meets Texas’ promo hypes up Maya – Lucas – Riley drama
It is somewhat unusual for “Girl Meets World” to hype up something beyond the upcoming episode in a promo, but that is very much what the Disney Channel series is doing right now when it comes to “Girl Meets Texas.”
To a certain extent, we do understand why. This is the much-hyped three-part event that begins on October 16, and it will feature most of the cast of characters going down to Texas to experience a little more of Lucas’ world. There will be a rodeo, some barbecue, and a few other things that we do like to consider very emblematic of the region. (We originally hail from Texas, and while the rodeo isn’t that common, people really like to pretend that it is.)
The other thing about this promo that is interesting is that the show may be finally bringing some of the tension between Riley and Maya into the forefront when it comes to Lucas, and whether or not there is something romantic brewing there between him and one of the best friends. For the longest time, the show has established that Riley and Lucas are the most-likely endgame, but is that really the case? Was this all misdirection and is there a lesson to be learned from this as well? We do still think that he and Riley will end up together, but this is an interesting storyline since it could actually start to test their friendship a little bit.
No matter what happens in these three parts, it has the potential to change the show in the way that little else has.

LUCAYA FOR SURE!!!! They already said in a episode previously that Riley and Lucas are more like brother and sister {which I feel they said to kinda foreshadow what is going to happen in Girl Meets Texas} I think Maya and Lucas are cuter and go together better than Rucas.

I’m sorry because if riley and lucas end up together I will stop watching the show. They’re love story is so fake it’s like some cheap fairytale but maya and lucas are not. They’re a real love story. Slowly they get closer like they’re suppose to so if rucas is endgame so is the end of gmw ratings.

Lucas deserves way better than manipulating maya. Riley is his dream girl not maya. Maya made up the whole “Lucas is like a brother” thing so she could confuse her best friend and take Lucas from her.

So Maya isn’t a good person, how can you just say that with out a valid reason and doesn’t deserve Lucas, yet she helped Riley talk to Lucas which she could do by herself because she was too scared. So if it wasn’t for Maya there would be no Rucas because Riley will not do it herself. There are a number of other reasons why she is a good person and if Maya goes away, it doesn’t mean that Lucas will like Riley and pretend that everything is okay and you never know he might case after Maya. And all this stuff about how Maya broke the girl code, well if you think about it actually Riley did, remember the very first episode and how she ‘broke up’ with Lucas?

In girl meets first date at the bay window riley was upset that maya asked out lucas but then she said can I at least be your maid of honor which implies that she wants maya to be happy. Yes it hurt her but they’re friendship is soooo much better than that. A pretty boy isn’t going to make a scratch on it let alone break it. And in girl meets farkle choice they both swore to never let amy one but farkle come between them so lucaya is endgame. I rest my case. Thank you I am Connor

So it is okay for Riley to kiss Lucas even though they aren’t dating and yet Maya isn’t allowed to, and how to you know that Lucas didn’t kiss Maya not the other way around? So if Maya and Lucas have feelings for each other but Riley has feelings for Lucas and he doesn’t have feelings for her it make Maya a bad friend, how do you know that Maya didn’t have feelings for Lucas first but Riley already claimed him as hers before she could tell her? What if he was being friends with Riley to get closer to Maya and Riley took it a different way?

to be honest i dont want rucas, the writers have already said (in an episode) that they are so alike they’re more like siblings and Zay has already said that when Lucas wrote home he refered to maya as the blond beauty, and lucaya is more interesting in my opinion. Corey and Topanga werent so much alike like Rucas if anything riley and farkle are more like corey and topanga but again thats just my opinion so please no hate :)
