‘Scream Queens’ spoilers: Learn a thing or two about Chanel-O-Ween (video)

We know that there are some things about “Scream Queens” and really any Ryan Murphy show at this point that are polarizing. Some stories are always better than others, and we do feel at times like they all suffer from trying to do a little too much, and as a result getting a little bit muddled as they start to go along.

With this said, there are also plenty of reasons to love Murphy’s shows, and part of it is that they do occasionally show flashes of complete brilliance. The latest sneak peek below, via Entertainment Weekly, from Tuesday’s episode is proof of some of that. It is a completely absurd look at one of Chanel’s annual traditions that is in particular reminiscent of something that Taylor Swift does for her fans … only incredibly disturbing. This is Chanel-O-Ween, where she surprises some of her “fans” with creepy gifts.

The entire video is shot like it is Chanel doing it herself from social media, and that is part of why this is so over-the-top and funny. It’s authentic, and there are not many other shows out there that are trying this same sort of thing.

Unfortunately, we wish that more viewers were going to be around to see it. “Scream Queens” started off with somewhat-disappointing ratings given all of the hype going into it, and they have already slid a little bit since the premiere. Hopefully it can at least keep those numbers moving into the rest of the season, given that we’d like to see the show get a second batch of episodes for next year.
