‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: News on Jensen Ackles-directed ‘The Bad Seed’

Bloodlines -

As many diehard fans of “Supernatural” know at this point, production for season 11 actually began with Jensen Ackles’ most-recent episode in the director’s chair. However, “The Bad Seed” is actually not going to air until October 21 as the third episode of the season. What gives? It is due mostly to Jensen’s own schedule. In helming the first episode right out of the gate, he gets a chance to work in advance in pre-production on the episode before he is too bogged down with acting duties.

Also, “The Bad Seed” will probably also give Jensen a little less screen time than some other hours for a similar reason. The synopsis below further suggests this, mostly because there will be significant stories for Castiel and Crowley to go along with what Sam and Dean are up to:

“While Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) tries to consolidate her power to protect herself from the Winchesters, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) search for a missing baby connected to the Darkness. Meanwhile, Castiel (Misha Collins) struggles to heal and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tries to find a way to use the Darkness for his own personal gain.”

This episode is more than likely going to be a lot of fun to dive into, mostly because of the mystery from the Darkness and also the fact that Crowley seems to think that there is some way to seemingly manipulate it. Then again, would Crowley really be Crowley if he did not try to pull some sort of crazy stunt that may or may not be that possible for him to pull off?
