‘Poldark’ season 2 notes: More from Aidan Turner, Heida Reed

It feels like some time has passed since we shared a “Poldark” update-of-sorts here at CarterMatt, so isn’t now an ideal time? While there is nothing major breaking per say from the BBC drama, there are a few notes that are worth examining / appreciating. This is what this story is ultimately all about.

1. New Aidan Turner interview – While Turner is on set at the moment filming the ten-episode second season (which is going to premiere on the BBC at some point in the spring, he was kind enough to pre-tape a video interview for the Radio Times‘ festival of the same name. It’s a brief interview of just three minutes, where a producer of the show hands down some questions for him to answer for the fans.

Of course, there is an obligatory shirtless question in here. Hopefully all of that will be out of everyone’s season by the time that season 2’s press junket begins. There are only so many times one cast answer that.

2. Another new photo from Heida Reed – Heida has to be the MVP of the “Poldark” cast when it comes to sharing wonderful images on social media; this is certainly one of them! There are many worse jobs to have than getting the chance to continuously feel by these rocky shorelines.

Basically, this is a photo that is meant to make you want to jump on a plane immediately and travel somewhere beautiful. Or, work really hard and get cast on a period TV show so that you can get paid to be there in costume. Either situation works.
