‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 1 video: Voight’s debriefing

After taking premiere week off thanks to a two-hour episode of “Law & Order: SVU” coming on the air, “Chicago PD” is going to start things off on NBC Wednesday night with an episode that is going to put a wide array of characters through the wringer and a new case for everyone to work on.

In the sneak peek below, you can see what we feel is the humble beginning of what these people will be going through. Voight is debriefing the team over what they need to do when it comes to trying to take down one of the city’s most-wanted criminals. We’re going to see the team go to great lengths to ensure that this man is behind bars once and for all, and this will including Voight visiting some old contacts in prison to get some leads.

One way or another, this story could be tied to Erin Lindsay coming back into the picture once again after falling back into some of her old ways with Bunny. The preview reveals that Lindsay has been gone from the force for a few weeks now and that outside of a few texts here and there, no one’s really heard from her. Has Voight given up on her? This preview makes us seem like he’s showing her some tough love in saying that “she’s made her choice” and to leave her alone. There’s a lot that needs to happen in this episode, and at the moment it does not seem like a guarantee that everything is going to be resolved within the hour-long runtime.
