‘Madam Secretary’ season 2 spoilers: New promos hint at … President McCord?

MadamThe second-season premiere of “Madam Secretary” may not be airing on CBS Sunday night, but rest assured when we say that you will be getting a chance to see the series on the air in due time.

Come Sunday, October 4, the first episode of season 2 is going to feature a variety of shocking events, most notably the disappearance of Air Force One over the Pacific Ocean. Did something happen to the plane? For a brief period of time, it seems like Secretary McCord is going to have to be acting President, and she is even sworn in by none other than the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (played here by Morgan Freeman). One of the videos that we’ve got for you below is one of the first real teases that you have of his character, and the history between him and Elizabeth.

In case you did not know, there is another reason why the Oscar-winner would want to appear on this show: He serves as an executive producer. If you want to get some more news in terms of what to expect over the course of the hour, check out the synopsis below in the event that you have not seen it already:

“Elizabeth must take the oath of office when the President’s plane disappears over the Pacific Ocean. Also, Henry is asked to recruit one of his Russian students to work for the U.S. government by Jane Fellows (Jill Hennessy), his new Defense Intelligence Agency handler.”

We will be back soon with some more news on the premiere, so be on the lookout!
