‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 2 video: Barbara pays Jim Gordon a visit

So far during season 2 of “Gotham,” we have certainly enjoyed the Barbara Kean character more than we did during the first season. Crazy suits her well. The affection for Jim Gordon may still be there to a certain extent, but for the most part, it has been distorted into obsession. We’re not entirely sure what she really wants from him over than to see him completely immersed in a sense of misery.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Barbara be stalk Jim from his own stomping grounds. At first, it seems like she is just making a phone call to him, but by the end of the clip he turns around and realizes that she is right behind him, sporting a new look and a set of red gloves. She is basically Harley Quinn meets Cruella de Vil.

We have heard for a few weeks now that there is going to be a major character who dies during the first part of season 2, and we really hope that it is not her. We feel like we are right in the middle of a creative renaissance with this character, and to see her go away right now would be depressing.

Also, it would come as a severe blow to the Maniax, which is the new group of ruthless criminals fronted by Theo Galavan. Aside from Barbara, the most noteworthy member of the group is Jerome, the young man who does bear at least some similarities to the Joker. We’re still not going to confirm that he actually is.
