ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: First Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic details for ‘PhDead’
Throughout the course of “Castle,” so far, we have seen our title character (played by Nathan Fillion) in a variety of different roles. He’s been an author, a consultant, and of course a private investigator. That is his job at the moment, as he is now working together with Alexis in order to ensure that a variety of other interesting cases find a way to be wrapped up in some shape or form.
So what about a professor? This is going to be the focus of the upcoming October 5 episode entitled “PhDead,” which feels for the first part like the first semi-traditional episode of the season. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters are going to be at least reasonably connected again when it comes to their jobs, and there will be a murder at the center of a college fraternity. The synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) offers up some more details:
“When the body of a local college fraternity student is found gruesomely murdered, Castle has to go undercover as a professor in order to gain access to the victim’s world. However, he and Beckett soon discover that behind the fun and games of college are some darker secrets the university wants to keep hidden.”
While this episode sounds like a hoot to us, you do still have to wonder the answer to one key question: Isn’t it possible that someone will recognize Castle unless he has some sort of incredible disguise? If you were not able to sense it just yet, this is us fishing and hoping that the show is trying to bring us some sort of crazy outfit for him to wear.
