ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 2 video: Watch a new Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion scene from ‘XX’

Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” entitled “XX” is going to be a nice way for the show to close a chapter of sorts. After all, this episode is an opportunity for the series to start to close the door, at least a little bit, on why Beckett vanished and what it is tied to.

The sneak peek below is a nice offering of at least a few more assorted hints into what is going on. Specifically, Stana Katic’s character makes it clear that what she is doing is tied somewhat to Vikram Singh, the tech analyst from DC she has not really been able to discuss until this point. In case you are wondering why, her answer is fairly routine: There is really not that much that she is authorized to discuss courtesy of her time with the Attorney General.

After a brief back-and-forth, Castle and Beckett do agree that there should be no more secrets between one another, which is really something that they should know at this point. It’s the only way to really figure out who is after her while at the same time ensuring their survival. Maybe they can bring the bad guys to justice to go along with it, but for the time being we are not too willing to start counting our chickens before they hatch.

Aside for the story development and the romance, there’s one other element to this sneak peek that we like: Yet another reminder of Castle’s disappearance, and the fact that there are still six weeks of it that are still completely unaccounted for. While this whole story is very implausible, we’re not going to hate on it too much just because we do love a good mystery.
