‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: ‘Form and Void’ struggles for Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles

When the “Supernatural” season 11 premiere airs on The CW come Wednesday, October 7, one of the struggles that we are going to see is how the cast of characters react to the arrival of the Darkness, a mysterious entity that is going to pose major problems for the Winchesters in a variety of different ways. Not only are Sam and Dean going to struggle figuring out how to thwart it, they may even have problems understanding what it really is.

Some of the picture for these characters is going to become a little bit clearer on the upcoming October 14 episode entitled “Form and Void,” but only to a certain extent. As the synopsis below gives away, some new problems are going to arise for Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ characters that cause the two of them to be a little distracted:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) helps Jenna (guest star Laci J. Mailey), the nurse he met after the Darkness fell, get back home safely and then sets off to help Sam (Jared Padalecki) deal with a town infected by a mysterious and deadly gas. However, when Jenna falls into dangerous hands, she calls Dean for help, and Sam tells him to go back to her. Unfortunately for Sam, he isn’t able to handle the townspeople-turned-monsters as easily as he thought.”

Once again with this show, it looks as though we are going to see them trying to navigate a tricky balance. Of course, they are going to continue tackling some fascinating procedural stories; however, at the same time the Darkness is never going to be too far out of sight or mind. Therefore, Sam’s not going to have much time to breathe in between fighting monsters and then figuring out what to do from there.
