‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 12 (finale) spoilers: Dan professes his love for Virginia

There are critical decisions that will need to be made on the season 3 finale of “Masters of Sex,” and in news that will surprise almost no one at the moment, a good many of them are going to be tied into matters of the heart.

In a new sneak peek below via Showtime, you can see Virginia Johnson getting quite the profession of love from Dan Logan, the sly perfume man who has turned himself into a major component of this season as a whole. He wants her to feel as though she is special, but in turn, he also wants to feel just as important to her as the work that she is doing with the clinic. He doesn’t want to be second-fiddle to this at all times, and that is understandable.

Is there really a hope for these two characters to actually figure this out? Let’s just say that history makes us a little less than optimistic; also, we’re not sure if Josh Charles is planning to come back on the show for another season. This relationship may have been an opportunity for Virginia to figure out more of what she wants out of her life, and if these are things that she can ever hope to get from Bill.

Ultimately, we feel like the ball is going to be in his court to figure out that at some point, things cannot just be as they once were. They will have to change and alter themselves for this relationship to work in the long run.
