‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: The mission (and challenge) for the Secret Warriors

The third season of “Agents of SHIELD” is going to be, at least based on some of the information that we have seen so far, a relatively slow burn when it comes to the Secret Warriors. These are a group of people who will eventually come together to help thwart the more dastardly of super-powered foe, and they seem to be operating mostly with a strategy of fighting fire with fire.

Since Samuel L. Jackson is busy doing a number of other things, we figure that we’re probably going to see Daisy commanding this team more so than Nick Fury … which is fine, since the more development you give Chloe Bennet on the show, the better. In setting up the mission in a chat with TVLine, executive producer Jeff Bell makes it clear that the struggle for the group is going to just be finding other people who are Inhuman who want to potentially battle some of their own:

“Coulson’s our director, and at the end of last season he tasked Daisy with trying to find Inhumans, or powered people, to put together a team to combat the rise of these other people out in the world. And that’s a process. As you can imagine, it’s one thing to find a person who has powers; it’s another to find a person who has those skills and wants to be with you. So, the idea of putting together a Secret Warrior team over the course of the season seems like a noble goal for S.H.I.E.L.D., as they battle Inhumans.”

In the early going, we know that one particularly fearsome Inhuman we are going to be seeing is Lash, but it still unclear just what sort of long-term plan the series has for him. We just know that, for know, he looks like a formidable adversary.
