‘Supernatural’ season 11 video: Show boss on the Darkness’ mystery, more in premiere

If you’re hungry for some more “Supernatural” scoop, may we point you in the direction of the video below? It seems like The CW is starting to become a little more kind in how much information they share on the upcoming season, and that is also something that we are certainly celebrating.

This video features executive producer Jeremy Carver front and center as he first and foremost recaps the events of season 10 that lead to Rowena’s spell, and then also at the same time the arrival of the Darkness into the world. While there isn’t that much known about this entity just yet, it is fair to assume that it is the Big Bad, and since having it float around like the Smoke Monster from “Lost” only gets the show so far, it will eventually probably be manifested into a single person.

Carver cautions that fans should really view the first two episodes of the season as the beginning of a mystery, one that makes you wonder just what the Darkness wants, and why now is the time where it starts to manifest itself in such unusual ways.

Our major question right now is how in the world you top something like this. You’ve got a villain now that is older than the Bible, and more than likely even more dangerous than any threat that the Winchesters have fared to date. Is there any way at all that something like this can be thwarted? Right now, our needle points to “doubtful.” This is not going to be easy.
