‘Celebrity Big Brother’ finale: Did James Hill or Austin Armacost win season 16?

We have spent a heck of a lot of time as of late discussing “Big Brother,” but for the most part, we are talking here about the American version of the show.

In Great Britain on Thursday, though, a controversial and insane season of “Celebrity Big Brother” came to a close with an ending that is certainly getting a lot of buzz at the moment. After a fierce battle (at least among the voting public), former UK “Apprentice” star James Hill defeated model Austin Armacost for the grand prize. Austin was the only American still on the show despite the US vs. UK theme, and it just goes to show further that in a season of nobodies, two people we had never heard of managed to get all the way to the end.

With this being said, we cannot exactly sit here and say that this was one of the most high-profile finale seasons to date. Even though we are an American writer, there were several names on this season who were the bottom of the celebrity barrel.

The most notable moment of this entire season was actually one that happened during the “Bit on the Side” aftershow, where a fight broke out involving former contestant and “Teen Mom” star Farrah. The more brutal portions of it did not end up airing on TV, but apparently there were drinks and glasses thrown over the course of the event. Pretty nasty stuff.

Anyway, congratulations to James, and here is to hoping that we have another season coming up with people we can be more invested in.
