‘Big Brother 17’ finale: Are Johnny Mac, Vanessa, and James All-Star candidates

JohnEvery week before we get to the “Big Brother” finale, one thing that we do like to do is discuss All-Stars and the future for a moment or two. Specifically, we are talking here about All-Stars and the age-old question as to who is likely to return, in the event of course that there is one on the horizon?

Contrary to what Les Moonves thinks, we actually do think that this was a pretty solid cast. With that being said, we actually don’t think there are many guaranteed All-Stars. Many of the bigger characters went home early, and while there were a lot of people playing the game, not all of them were too flashy. For now, here’s our picks.

Sure things

Johnny “Johnny Mac” McGuire – There’s zero doubt in our mind that production loves this guy. He’s great in the Diary Room, completely random, and such a unique character. We feel like he’ll also learn from his mistakes going into another season.

Vanessa Rousso – We’re not sure she would want to do it again given that she certainly doesn’t need the money. The only way we could see her enticed to maybe is if she doesn’t make it to the end and win; in this case, maybe she would want to fix her problem in the very end.

Strong candidates

James Huling – While not the best player all of the time, he was tremendous as Head of Household and super-fun for live feed viewers. Sure he and Donny are similar character types, but can’t you have two southern guys on a season and be just fine?

Audrey Middleton – Maybe not everyone was thrilled with how her time on the season ended, but even with an early exit we don’t see how CBS is anything other than thrilled with the drama she brought to the first few weeks. She does have this great story, but the reality is that it is far from the only thing that defines her.

Possibilities

Steve Moses – It’s much likelier if he wins. His problem is mostly that he and Ian will probably be up for the same spot, and Ian is probably the more popular player of the two.

Austin Matelson – People love to hate someone, right? Austin may be delusional about his popularity, but he could still have a chance.

Jason Roy – A very popular pre-jury boot with a lot of one-liners. He’s probably more likely for a “second chance” season than All-Stars.

Da’Vonne Rogers – See above.
