‘The Last Ship’ season 3 spoilers: Two new promotions!

At the end of “The Last Ship” season 2, it is fair to say that the TNT series delivered a lot of drama. We still do not know whether or not Rachel is going to make it through the shooting alive, and if she goes, what this means for the rest of the cast.

What we have for you now is definitive proof that there are at least two people who you can be certain you will be seeing a lot of moving into the future: Michael Martin (Eric Miller) and Bren Foster (Wolf Taylor). According to Deadline, they have both been promoted to series regular for the third season.

We should make it clear that this is not confirmation that either Foster or Martin are going to be appearing every episode in the third season, but this at least locks them in for a variety of different stories.

Given the nature of the show at the moment, we anticipate things being somewhat coy and under wraps over the next few weeks. If we do start to get a little bit more of an indication as to where some things are going to go, you better believe that we will have them for you here. For now, the only thing that we can say with confidence is that it will yet again be a heck of a thrill ride, and new episodes are going to air starting at some point in the summer. That is one constant that we doubt the show will ever want to change.
