‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 14 preview: Everyone brings their “A” game for portrait day

dave and duffyWe are closing in on the end of “Ink Master” season 6 with only 5 contestants left in the competition and we couldn’t be happier with the remaining artists competing for the title. We’ve said it all season and it still rings true, that this has been some of the best artists we’ve seen on this show. From the very first episode it felt like this could be anyone’s game to win and that everyone there had raised the bar with what they could do on this show. It’s true that After Chris Blinston took out St. Marq that it’s felt like he already won the show, but the high quality of the artwork and all the strategy that has come into the game this season has made it fun to watch even though we feel pretty confident about the outcome.

After a shocking elimination on tonight’s episode of “Ink Master” (which you can read about over at the link here), we still feel confident that Chris Blinston is going to be standing in the winner’s circle at the end of the day, but will he be changing his strategy to get there? There are only 5 contestants left and while it’s been lots of fun watching Chris play a solid strategic game that included having big alliances, now that the numbers have dwindled we’re not so sure he really needs to play the game this way anymore.

NFL day tripped a lot of the artists up and the elimination tattoos were pretty rough, so next week everyone needs to bring their “A” game if they want to impress the judges, but if they think the competition is going to get easier then the artists are sorely mistaken. Next week is portrait day and this is a challenge that always pushes the artists skills. One wrong line or area of shading can completely change what a person’s face looks like and cost them the title.
