‘Downton Abbey’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Will Mary jeopardize Carson – Mrs. Hughes’ wedding?
The wedding on “Downton Abbey” between Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes is coming, and we have to say that we’ve got quite a bit of excitement over it! While these two may not be the wealthiest characters on the series, we’ve come to know them for a long time. Also, they are beloved by many other members of the estate for their contributions. There is ultimately quite a bit to look forward to, and we are very much intrigued to see how this story is handled.
We cannot confirm that the wedding that you want to see will be taking place next week, but Mary is going to get involved in the process … much to their detriment. You can see the synopsis below with some more details of what to expect:
“As planning for their wedding gets underway, Lady Mary’s meddling gets Mr Carson into trouble with Mrs Hughes. Cora and Violet lock horns over plans for the hospital takeover. Thomas’s job search continues with disappointing results. An idea of Mary’s takes Anna to London and offers fresh hope. Edith faces challenges at the magazine but a problem closer to home reaches breaking point. What begins as a happy day out for the family and servants ends in panic and leaves Robert with a difficult decision to make.”
Hopefully, this episode will contain at least some happier moments than some of the hardship that we saw tonight, in particular when it comes to Mary and the aftermath of the blackmail story. This is definitely going to be an intriguing story, and one we will have further news for as time goes by.

I think Daisy is going to join Mrs Patmore while she continues her studies and do some kind of food work with her. Thomas will wind up going abroad to America. Molesley and Baxter are gonna hook up and he is going to be Marigold and George’s primary school tutor. Carson and Hughes will live happil.y ever after, as will the Bates after Anna has similar surgery that Mary had to fix her getting pregnant problem Edith will fall in love with and marry that Bertie Pelham, he will accept Marigold as her child and he will wind up somehow inheiriting the estate he’s the agent of. Mary will have a torrid affair with Harry Talbot but will be swept off her feet when Charles Blake comes back into town.

M Mary enjoys having a project and having suitors but probably will never make the project profitable or replace Matthew in her heart. Edith could make a life at the magazine to leave behind her mistreatment at Downtown.. Cora and Robert could downsize in a way which takes them into their golden years without worrying about Mary or Edith. Daisy is employable as is Thomas as are Andy and Anna. Moseley and Baxter are talented but in a tight job market their ages could hinder new employment.. Mrs. Patmore can afford to retire and has a house to retire to as do Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. Any other ideas about how the fictiious characters should end up in a way the viewers would like them to>
