‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3, episode 2 spoilers: Opening Pandora’s box in ‘Whispers in the Dark’

Doesn’t it seem appropriate at the moment that “Sleepy Hollow” would name a character Pandora, and then have her unleash something that makes her very reminiscent of Pandora’s Box? Yes, it is a little hokey and obvious in that sense, but we’ll take this any day of the week at this point over some of what we had during season 2 with all of the Crane family drama.

The October 1 premiere of the show is going to mostly establish the new normal for Ichabod and Abbie, including how they come back together after some of Abbie’s new training, and what some of their new missions will be moving forward. Meanwhile, the second episode of the season (airing on October 8) is entitled “Whispers in the Dark,” and based on the short synopsis below, we are going to get a chance to see the aforementioned Pandora (read more about her casting here) show a little of what she is capable of:

“When Pandora uses her powers to unleash a new form of evil, Abbie and Crane are forced to face their pasts in unexpected ways.”

Is it possible that Pandora becomes in some ways the Big Bad of season 3? We know that this is someone who is going to be around for a substantial period of time, and thanks to that, you really cannot rule out the possibility that we are going to see more of her showing off some of her powers down the road.

However, at this point the show hasn’t even premiered yet! We are so early in the process anything could take place moving forward.
